POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED.
Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet, database experience and experience with HRIS systems.
Experience running personnel reports.
Full time work experience in human resources including but not limited to pre-hire compliance, job posting, benefits, background checks, and/or accounting related duties is a plus.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Strong customer service mind-set.
Must possess past experience that demonstrates high level of integrity and confidentiality.
Must have demonstrated knowledge of utilizing, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be flexible in dealing with work assignments.
Ability to deal pleasantly and courteously with AIDB employees, Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services and the public by telephone, written communication and in person.
Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
A sign language proficiency level of SURVIVAL, according to the AIDB evaluation system, must be obtained within the first thirty-six (36) months of employment.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for compliance with all AIDB Affirmative Action Plans, reporting and auditing.
Create and update HRIS dashboard for workforce activity.
Assist with any and all compliance record request
Run reports from the HRIS system to include headcount data, turnover data, promotion and development data.
Assist with all personnel data tracking and analysis.
Prepare new hire paperwork, may create personnel, background and medical personnel files.
File employee records, including confidential medical records and maintain files according to record retention guidelines.
Assist with recruitment activities as assigned by supervisor.
Assist with staff development activities, including but not limited to completion and distribution of forms, campus and department contact, attendance documentation, etc. by utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel.
Maintain and distribute approved substitute lists to campuses.
Provide support for HR department positions as assigned by supervisor
Create and maintain files including, but not limited to Alabama State Board of Adjustment Claims, Sick Leave Bank, Employment Intention Forms, Sign Language Interview, AIDB Compliance, etc.
Maintain and keep employee personnel files up to date.
Respond to internal and external requests for information as assigned by supervisor
Assist with correspondence and/or other communication for HR Department as assigned by supervisor.
Keep up-to-date on changing laws, human resources practices and AIDB policies and procedures.
