ABOUT YOU
You will play a vital role to ensure that AIDB's culture is reinforced and that employees feel connected, recognized and proud to be a part of the company. This will be accomplished by demonstrating flexibility, positive attitude and professional maturity.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years successful related work experience.
- Must possess skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, etc.).
- Ability to deal pleasantly and courteously with students, staff, parents, visitors, etc. by telephone, written correspondence (email, text, etc.), and in person in a professional manner.
- Upon offer of employment, the applicant must submit to a fingerprint background check at an agency designated and paid by AIDB

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must complete a Foundations in Deaf/Blind Multi-Disabilities E-Learning course within the first twelve (12) months of employment.
- Survival sign language skill level must be obtained within 12 months of employment and Intermediate obtained within 36 months of employment.
- Serve as receptionist for the Student Life program.
- Receive and screen visitors and telephone calls and refer to appropriate person.
- Key-in all departmental work orders for Maintenance and IT.
- Phone in emergency work orders during regular office hours, Monday through Friday.
- Maintains files for the Student Life program staff.
- Process Student Life program payroll.
- Check employee time cards for accuracy. Work with staff to make sure time cards are accurate.
- Keep accurate records of all accounts managed.
- Type outgoing and in-house correspondence as directed by Director. Distribute to proper departments and staff. Proofread for accuracy.
- Operate office equipment such as computer, calculator, copy machine, and fax.
- Prepare all travel requests, check requests, bus requests, and food requests for the Student Life program.
- Collect and give information to and from the Student Life program staff of a routine nature.
- Distribute mail to Student Life program staff, Student Life Advisors, and students according to context.
- Order supplies for dormitories and Student Life office.
- Receives sorts and distributes incoming deliveries.
- Collects and maintains permission from parents/guardians concerning students. Make telephone calls concerning permission when needed.
- Proof and prepare copies of all approved Student Life schedules.
- Take notes at meetings. Transcribe into correct form, type and distribute.
- Receive list of absentees each day from Student Life Advisors and notify appropriate staff.
- Maintain department inventory for Student Life office supplies.
- Prepare student workers payroll for Student Life.
- Prepare property status reports for Student Life and submits to CFO's office.
- Ensure that the storm shelter staff and student roster is up to date and current.
- Create information packets for new staff and assist them in setting up ESS, AOD and enter their information into PowerSchool.
- Coordinate and communicate Student Life students daily, weekend and closed weekend transportation.
- Create weekend student list.
- Prepares and emails closed weekend information to parents/guardians.
- Create closed weekend bus list.
- Maintains calendar/appointments for Student Life program staff.
- Communicates with other departments as necessary.
- Call in substitutes for Student Life Advisor absences.
- Maintain the Student Life Staff and Student Assignments roster.
- Maintain the Student Life Google calendar.
- Maintain the Student Life requirement spreadsheet.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops provided.
- Work cooperatively as a team with other school personnel to best serve the students.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Direct Deposit Required
Salary is based on 260 days according to the AIDB calendar.
This is a non-exempt position, and is subject to overtime and/or compensatory time provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Upon agreement in advance, hours worked over 40 in the work week will be taken as time off at 1 times the hours worked.
