The Administrative Assistant I is responsible for providing administrative support for the programs within Special Projects. Programs include the NTID Regional STEM Center, Center for Assistive Technology Training, Regional Early Acquisition of Language, and the Joe Tom Armbrester Agricultural Center.

ABOUT YOU

You will be responsible for assisting Special Projects with database entry of all data collected by NRSC, CATT, REAL, and JTA. You will also assist with booking travel, purchase orders, and shipping of items and equipment as needed. Other work prior to and during summer may be assigned that will aid the administrative assistants with preparation and implementation of summer camps and workshops.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum three (3) years of data entry or clerical experience.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication, basic office skills, completing forms, maintaining inventory, physically assist with distribution of materials and supplies.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs products.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
  • Upon offer of employment, the applicant must submit to a fingerprint background check at an agency designated and paid by AIDB

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • May be asked to obtain an Alabama driver's license and be able to be insured by AIDB insurance carrier
  • Must be able to perform accurate data and spreadsheet maintenance.
  • Be able to support other Special Projects administrative assistants as needed.

SALARY: $15.48 - $18.29 Scale C5 Rank 35 PART TIME

Direct deposit required.

This is a nonexempt position and is not subject to overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
