This will be accomplished by demonstrating flexibility, positive attitude and professional maturity

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent with work experience in a secretarial or related field.
  • Must possess ability to utilize a computer efficiently to include word processing, billing, payroll, data collection, reporting, memos, charts, and other computer functions.
  • Minimum of 2 years successful related work experience, and good work attendance record.
  • Must possess skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and Google.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must possess excellent knowledge of business English, punctuation, grammar, etc.
  • Proven experience in handling extremely confidential documents and information.
  • Must be professional (conduct and dress), self-motivated, have the ability to exercise sound judgment and follow-through with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to deal pleasantly and courteously with students, staff, parents, visitors, etc. by telephone and in person in a professional manner.
  • Upon offer of employment, the applicant must submit to a fingerprint background check at an agency designated and paid by AIDB



MANDATORY ANNUAL TRAINING
  • Medication Training
  • Behavior Management certification
  • CPR - every 2 years
  • Blood Borne Pathogens
  • Using an AED
  • Mandatory Reporting - DHR
  • Policy and Procedure Review



PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must complete a Foundations of Visual Impairment e-learning course within the first twelve (12) months of employment.
  • Maintain payroll records and forms on all departmental personnel and submit to Principal's office.
  • Maintain database and hard copies of behavioral incident reports.
  • Research, maintain, and order supplies and materials for department.
  • Maintain ongoing total of expenditures for the department and each staff member.
  • Maintain updated copies of student roster, teacher schedules, class sponsors, lunch duty, trip schedules, etc.
  • Maintain permanent record files.
  • Assist with the distribution and maintenance of academic probation and study hall lists.
  • Copy and file all staff and student information appropriately (hard copies).
  • Copy and mail student, graduate, etc. records upon request.
  • Print report cards and mail with progress reports to parents/guardians.
  • Assist Director in obtaining substitute teachers.
  • Make contact with nursing staff regarding health issues of students.
  • Assist Director and HCS Staff with scheduling audiological, vision, dental, Medicaid, psychiatric, etc. clinics.
  • Assist in conducting reporting and monitoring fire, tornado, inclement weather, intruder alert, shelter in place, etc. drills.
  • Enter work orders on the Maintenance/IT Work Order Systems as necessary.
  • Adheres to the AIDB/ASB Communication Policy in communicating with parents, staff members, visitors, students, etc.
  • Participates in training sessions and workshops provided.
  • Works cooperatively as a team member with other school personnel to best serve the students.
  • Follow all policies, rules and regulations of AIDB and ASB.
  • Other duties as assigned.



SALARY: $16.58- $19.33 Rank S4 Scale 31
