POSITION: Cybersecurity Specialist

AIDB Office of Information Technology



POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and three years of related experience



Other requirements for this position include the following:


  • Experience with security operations and incident response/ resolution
  • Ability to prioritize assignments while working on multiple projects
  • Ability to work with the IT Team to meet cybersecurity needs
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Strong ability to predict and plan for unknown threats
  • Experience in creating and maintaining Policies and Procedures as they relate to the position responsibilities
  • Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) must be obtained within twenty-four(24) months of employment and active status must be maintained
  • Some overnight travel will be required
  • Must obtain a sign language proficiency evaluation of Survival-Plus within twenty-four (24) months of employment.
  • Upon offer of employment, the applicant must submit to a fingerprint background check at an agency designated and paid by AIDB."

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:



The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:


  • Develop, manage, and coordinate cybersecurity operations.
  • Work in conjunction with System Administrators and Network Manager to ensure security of Data/ Network.
  • Perform cybersecurity risk assessments and make recommendations to remediate risks.
  • Research the latest trends within cybersecurity to ensure risks/ resolutions are always up to date.
  • Assist Network Manager in creating appropriate network segregation to meet Department of Defense guidelines as they relate to the position.
  • Proactively monitor cybersecurity threats and work with the IT Team to prevent said threats.
  • Follow NIST guidelines as it relates to Department of Defense contracts.
  • Proactively perform vulnerability scanning/ testing and provide remediation as it relates to the results.
  • Provide cybersecurity training/ materials for AIDB staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of IT.

SALARY: $67,230- $87,952 Scale PI Rank 61

(260 Days)

Direct deposit is required. Monthly Payroll

This is an exempt position, and is not subject to overtime or compensatory provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
